Tamilarasan is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Babu Yogeswaran[1] and produced by SNS Production Company.[2] The film stars Vijay Antony, Suresh Gopi and Sonu Sood. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It was inspired from Nick Cassavetes' 2002 film John Q.[3]
Tamilarasan had its theatrical release on April 22, 2023, and is slated to be released on the OTT platform ZEE5 on June 16, 2023. The film has received mixed reviews from critics.
Premise[edit]
Tamilarasan (Vijay Antony) is a compassionate police officer who hijacks a hospital where his son Prabhakar (Pranav Mohan) has been admitted after Prabhakar is neglected for providing a heart transplant by the greedy hospital staff, but Tamilarasan faces obstacles from the corrupt superior officer DCP Rana Pratap Singh (Sonu Sood) and his personal enemies.[8]
