Lift is an upcoming American heist comedy film directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Daniel Kunka. The film stars Kevin Hart (who also served as producer), Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D'Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington.
Lift is scheduled to be released by Netflix on January 12, 2024.

Production[edit]
In March 2021, Dan Kunka's spec script Lift was acquired by Netflix, with Simon Kinberg's Genre Pictures and Matt Reeves' 6th & Idaho set to produce.[3] In September, F. Gary Gray was set to direct and Kevin Hart was attached to star and produce.[4]
Principal photography took place from February to May 2022 in Italy and Northern Ireland.[5] Filming occurred in March at Belfast's Harbour Studios.[6] Scenes were shot in Trieste on the Miramare Castle grounds in late May.[7]
Release[edit]
Lift is set to be released on Netflix on January 12, 2024.[8] It was originally scheduled to be released on August 25, 2023,[9] however, it was postponed to its current date, due to the impact of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in the United States on the film's promotion.[8]
Reception[edit]
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 86% of 11 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.8/10.[10] On review aggregator Metacritic, the film holds a weighted average score of 92 out of 100, based on 12 critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews".[11]
